Following a successful career of 20 years of senior management in the military, David worked in PR for 6 years before returning to the world of leadership. He has been a Leadership, Executive and Life Coach for over 18 years and in 2009 qualified as a ‘Coach Supervisor’. He has accrued over 900 hours of coaching and supervision experience with a wide variety of clients. He has delivered over 300 psychometric assessments and facilitated senior management teams and boards in a diversity of organisations.
David specialises in helping senior business people, particularly in Legal and professional services, hone their leadership skills using proven techniques to maximise communication, engagement and teamwork, as well as introducing emotional intelligence, mindfulness and ethical thinking in an holistic approach to facilitate effective change that leads to individuals fulfilling their true potential both in an organisational setting as well as their private lives.
David is both empathetic and supportive: he uses humour and a light touch to encourage clients to address key areas that have been avoided, but works equally well with those who are goal driven and need robust and challenging support.

What clients have said about working with David
“In both my previous role as CEO and Director of NIAB, Cambridge and my current role as Director of IBERS, Aberystwyth University, change management has been a major feature. The business coaching provided by David has been a major boost to my professional performance and has certainly aided my ability to lead organisational and cultural change. His experience and style provide a very good foundation to develop and embed a culture of coaching within the organisation.” (CEO)
“My coaching sessions with David Bredin has been an important step in my personal development, providing clear new opportunities to reflect, learn and implement a number of new concepts and ideas. Providing a conceptual framework for issues such as influencing, creating relationships and networks have provided a robust understanding of behaviour in organizations that are essential for effective leadership. Many of the topics introduced such as single/double learning loop provide excellent, generic models to understand and therefore change behaviour. The Leadership mapping exercise has provided me with a framework to allow reflection and provide focus for personal growth. Inevitably, the coaching sessions require time and commitment. In my opinion, this investment has been very worthwhile and I intend to continue my professional relationship with David Bredin.” (CEO & Director – Leading Scientific Research Organisation)

“Your facilitation of our Board on Thursday was a real success – we addressed some difficult issues and got through them without any real dissension. We were all hugely impressed at just how well you had mastered your brief and understood the issues we sought to tackle. You very skilfully steered us through our complete agenda showing great patience, charm and tact and yet forcing us to address things. It was a real tour de force and, very much thanks to the positive way you so successfully managed to engage us, that evening and indeed during our meeting on Friday there was a real buzz and much unanimity amongst the Board.” (Board Director of a Travel Firm)
