Marketing Manager
Following a successful start in his marketing career and a rapid rise into management, this 30 year old manager wished to take stock and ensure that his career direction was “right” for him. Through a short coaching programme he was supported to reflect on and analyse his interests and personal values and re-connect with his early dreams and aspirations. A thorough assessment and understanding of his personal strengths, weaknesses, aptitude and general characteristics followed. His appraisal of this new understanding led him to feel confident about his current career choice; he was able to reshape some of his approaches to his role and completed the programme feeling enthused and re-motivated.
Senior Scientist
A career coaching programme was provided to this senior scientist who, despite a very successful career to date, was feeling demotivated and unfulfilled in her current role. Through a series of coaching sessions in which her early education and career were discussed, and her strengths, interests, values and dreams were explored, she determined on a change of career into secondary education. Having tried out and thoroughly enjoyed some teaching in several secondary schools she is now retraining as a chemistry teacher.
Finance Director
Following a successful career, and nearing retirement, this Finance Director had elected to take voluntary redundancy but was unclear quite how to proceed career-wise. Through a series of career coaching sessions he was able to clarify and articulate his career requirements ensuring that his skills and experience were fully utilised in a fashion that suited his desire to work fewer hours. As a result he was able to develop a strategy for a portfolio career, including researching the market, developing marketing materials and getting work. He is now happily working an average 3 days per week on assignments in which his expertise is thoroughly utilised and is being well rewarded for it.
